Established in 1954, Vello & Associates and its predecessor firm, particularly Chang & Vello has had a long tradition of outstanding appellate advocates, including past lawyers’ such as Tan Sri Chang Min Tat, a former justice of the Federal Court. Throughout its history, the firm's main work has been civil litigation, particularly complex litigation in Federal and State courts. For over 50 years, Vello & Associates has built a legal practice of global proportion. Vello & Associates is able to marshal its extensive resources to provide clients with the practical legal solutions needed to conduct complex, multi-jurisdictional business transactions. These strategic strengths combine to ensure delivery of top-notch solutions whenever and wherever the firm's clients' businesses require them.
Transactional Experience
In addition to business litigation, we also practice law in the transactional area, providing practical and legal business solutions for corporate and entrepreneurial clients. We have negotiated transactions, drafted business contracts, represented creditors in bankruptcy, assisted clients in purchasing and selling businesses.
Vello & Associates is a law firm intentionally kept small. In the face of many opportunities to expand, the lawyers here believe that personal contact with clients is best achieved in the small firm. We care about our clients personally and professionally. We believe it shows in the results we achieve.
The lawyers here have experience in the courtroom and keep current with litigation trends. While we encourage mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution for our clients, we believe that the ability to successfully try a lawsuit is a prerequisite to resolving claims in or out of the courtroom. Because we emphasize trial skills, we find that approximately one half of our ongoing work involves litigation.
